AppJealousy — dock drama, on a timer
Pinned Dock apps remember how long you’ve ignored them. Stay in one app too long and the others get… emotional. Tune “jealous after N seconds” (default 10s) and watch the mood strip climb from calm to chaos — playful UI, not analytics.
What it does
Reads apps in your Dock, watches the frontmost app, and nudges each icon’s mood from calm to jealous based on time spent elsewhere.
Dock + extras
Every pinned Dock app, plus any bundle you add with Add app to track (pick a .app).
Slider & persistence
Jealous after N s — 3 to 180 seconds. Your choice survives relaunch.
Notifications
Optional banners when an app feels neglected. Allow alerts in System Settings → Notifications → AppJealousy.
Cheer / remove: Use the in-app actions to soothe jealous icons or drop added trackers from the list.
Install
Open the DMG, drag AppJealousy.app into Applications, then launch from the menu bar.
- If Gatekeeper blocks the download, try xattr -cr ~/Downloads/AppJealousy-1.0.0.dmg and open again.
- Rebuild locally with your bundle script: bash Scripts/package-appjealousy-dmg.sh (MacAppsBundle).
