Battery DNA — your Mac’s power profile
A small menu bar companion for charge state, cycle context, and the story your battery tells over time. Part of our Crazy apps line — playful utilities, not enterprise fleet tooling.
What you get
Battery DNA keeps the essentials visible without opening System Settings — ideal when you’re debugging drain, travel days, or just curious how your pack is aging.
Menu bar pulse
Percentage, charging state, and quick cues stay in the tray — same Nigents dark aesthetic as our other Crazy apps.
Health & cycles
Surface maximum capacity and cycle count in plain language so “is this normal?” has a faster answer.
Experimental
Built for makers and curious users. Not a replacement for Apple diagnostics or service — just a clearer daily lens.
Install
Open the disk image, drag Battery DNA.app into Applications, then eject the volume.
- If Gatekeeper blocks the download: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open anyway.
- If needed: xattr -cr ~/Downloads/BatteryDNA-1.0.0.dmg then open again.
- Rebuild locally with your MacAppsBundle packaging script after changes.
